Nelson Email Organizer, which I have used with Outlook for over a decade, has this functionality and *vastly* more. It is essentially a set of optimized, customizable indexes (not an add-in or plug-in, runs independently) with a power interface to access them quickly. Very adaptable to GTD.

I don't work for them, I am just a zealot trying to spread the word!http://www.emailorganizer.com/ .

Looks neat.

Unfortunately my work computer is so locked down that I won't be able to install.

However, I find Outlook's shortcut Ctl-Shift-V (move to folder) works well for me; and if your folder tree is left expanded, starting to type a folder name will select it.

Right now I've completely given up on filing by folders - I just push everything I might ever want to refer to (including sent items) into a single Archive folder, and then use Outlook's find function when needed (how I wish I could install Google desktop to index my email though...).

Louise,

When Outlook moves a regular message to the Calendar, it converts it into an appointment, and then opens it up for you to edit. SpeedFiler does not yet do this (it is planned).

Workaround: just drag the message and drop it on the Calendar icon at the bottom-left of Outlook's main window, under the folder tree. Outlook will then turn it into an appointment as usual, although it won't be deleted from your inbox.

Hi - this is a really fantastic tool. Its already changed the way I work.
I have a problem though in the 'move to calendar' feature. I used to move certain emails (say with directions to a meeting) into the timeslot for that meeting in my outlook calendar by using the 'move to folder' option in outlook. That opened a dialogue box asking me which date, time etc.

Now though the message seems to get sent directly to the current date (and I have no option of choosing the date/time).

I am missing something or is there a better way to do this?

thanks!

I love this tool. It's one of these rare utilities that does what it says on the tin, and does it well! When I'm sorting out my inbox, the only thing that matters to me is where I need to file emails, and SpeedFiler makes this a cinch.

I'm looking forward to more stuff from Claritude.

Great Tool. Thanks a lot. I got a licence.

One more Feature maybe for the next version could be an option for "save without attachment". Useful for example when forwarding a message with large attachments.
